Kyra Payne, or KiKi Plz, works across a variety of mediums with an emphasis on ceramics and textiles. You can find her work in Mexico City stores including Loose Blues, Lazo, and Oha.
In the last years Kyra has been creating a body of site-specific sculptures that focus on themes of ephemerality and loss. Each piece is made out of unfired clay and possess a unique characteristic with which it interacts with its natural environment. The end goal for these sculptures is their eventual self-destruction, which allows Kyra to recycle the clay and begin work on the next installation.
